Vince says there was a lot of ado made about “Avengers Arena” before its release. In the end, it’s just not a well-executed book.

A couple days ago, we told you that it seemed likely Dennis Hopeless and Kev Walker would be re-tooling “Avengers Academy” for a relaunch. Now it looks like it’s true: coming in December from Marvel will be “Avengers Arena,” in which 16 young heroes end up in a Battle Royale-esque scenario in Murderworld as envisioned by Hopeless and Walker.

So last week we threw some rumors out, and today we’d like to keep fueling the fire just a wee bit.
Remender announced (and we reported) that his “X-Force” and “Secret Avengers” runs were coming to an end soon, with “X-Force” almost certain for a relaunch in December. We also know that “Avengers Academy” is ending in November but that it is one of the titles slated for a relaunch, according to Marvel EiC Axel Alonso…
The Weekend Week In Review (6/20/2012)
Want to keep up with the ever-advancing continuity porn of the DC and Marvel universes, but simply don’t have the time or money to buy every ongoing? We’re here to help. The Weekend Week In Review aims to give you ((usually) very) brief synopses of what happened in a select few of DC and Marvel’s titles — with a helping of sarcastic commentary — so that when some nasty old writer wants to punish you by heavily referencing a title you didn’t pick up, you won’t be left in the dark. Of course, that means that spoilers are in abundance, but I figure that you could figure that out.
Get GetGlue (Week of 6/6/2012)
We don’t know about the rest of you, but we’re a bit addicted to GetGlue. If you haven’t checked it out before, it’s a silly thing, really: you check in to what you are watching, playing or reading and are rewarded a sticker for it. When you get a certain number of stickers, once a month you can have your stickers sent to you to do whatever it is you do with stickers – put them on things, eat them, etc.
As GetGlue has been getting more and more popular, teaming up with more companies for exclusive stickers, Marvel Comics have started releasing weekly stickers for their books. As comic fans, we figure you might want them, and you might want a handy round-up with links of what they are and where to get them.
Look no further! We will be providing you said round-up and links for all your sticker needs.
