IDW Announces IDW Limited, A Line Of Collector’s Edition Books

You know, I don’t know about anyone else, but I would kill to get my hands on one of IDW’s Artist Edition books. Maybe it’s just my collecting nature or the fact that I get to see a book’s art as it was originally created, I’m not sure, but there’s even better nes for all of you collector’s out there: IDW is launching IDW Limited, a line of limited, collector’s editions of their catalogue of books.

Eastman and Sim Reveal The Kickstarter TMNT/Cerebus Collab Print

For those of you who participated in the Cerebus Kickstarter to turn “High Society” into a digital audio/visual e-book, you may remember that one of the options was donating $50 to get an exclusive collaborative print by Dave Sim and Kevin Eastman. The print promised to feature the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as well as a mysterious new character named Matisse.

Dave Sim Draws A Brand New Ninja Turtle

Ok, not entirely.

Here’s the story: with the success of the Cerebus Kickstarter (which we’ve already told you about and you’ve already donated to, right?), a few notable names have joined Sim to help raise money for the endeavor. Given that the goal has already been passed, Sim and Kickstarter runner John Scrudder are now aiming for $200k, with the goal being to publish all of Cerebus in the digital format. To do this, they have been joined by folks like Bob Burden (creator of the Flaming Carrot) and Kevin Eastman (co-creator of the Ninja Turtles) to do a print with Sim for those willing to donate $50 to the Kickstarter.

So what does this image include? It includes the four turtles we know and love as drawn by Eastman as well as a brand new turtle named Matisse, as drawn by Sim.
