If you haven’t been paying attention to Multiversity or comics in general for the last 6 months, Valiant Comics have returned and they are undoubtedly better than ever. Part of the reason why is the top notch list of creators they brought in to bring their world to life, such as “X-O Manowar” writer Robert Venditti. Likely most well known for “The Surrogates,” Venditti has breathed new life into the once giant selling character, and with the recent return of Ninjak in its pages, even more eyes are on the book.

This summer saw Valiant relaunch a number of titles including “Archer & Armstrong”, “Bloodshot”, “Harbinger” and “X-O Manowar” with characters redesigned by none other than David Aja and Jelena Kevic-Djurdjevic. Well, today Valiant has released Character Design Covers for the October issue of each title featuring character designs by both artists.

We teased it yesterday (and if you’ve been listening to The Hour Cosmic, you may have heard about this), but now we can officially announce it: the next book from Valiant entertainment is “Shadowman,” to be written by Justin Jordan (“Strange Talent of Luther Strode”, “Hack/Slash”, “Team 7″) and illustrated by Patrick Zircher (“Hulk,” “Captain America”, “Mystery Men”).

No, it’s not just a black image. You might need to adjust your screen for this one.
Featuring a character hidden in the darkness, the above image arrived in our e-mail from Valiant Entertainment to tease an upcoming (soemething). All the e-mail read was “Shadows fall this November” which isn’t much to go on, but it could tease a new book or even just the return of character — such as Shadowman, perhaps?

We were pretty excited to see that Ninjak would be showing up in “X-O Manowar” in September — and by we, I probably just mean “me.” Considering that Ninjak was perhaps the only Valiant title I had ever read (without knowing that it was a Valiant comic but rather a comic about a ninja, mind you), it was pretty exciting to see that the character would be featured in Valiant’s revitalization in the Summer of 2012.
But you know what’s more exciting than hearing about the character’s return? Seeing the character’s return. So how about a little preview?

Valiant (Re)visions: Bloodshot #1 [Review]
Last week saw the premiere of the third Valiant relaunch with Bloodshot #1, and that, of course, means David Harper and Chad Bowers are back with a brand new installment of Valiant (Re)visions. This all-new take on Bloodshot features a story by crime-novelist and former Birds of Prey writer Duane Sweirczynski with art by Manuel Garcia and Arturo Lozzi.
Valiant’s Archer and Armstrong Is Your New Favorite Buddy Book [Preview]
We’ve been spouting out anticipatory praises for Valiant’s “Archer and Armstrong” title by Fred Van Lente and Clayton Henry for some time now, back when we had no idea what was being said but had some awesome visuals by Clayton Henry to cheer for. It’s not that we don’t trust Fred Van Lente or anything; we do, but we already knew Henry was pulling his weight. Was Van Lente doing his share?
Today we have definitive evidence that Van Lente is, in fact, pulling his weight with the title. We present to you that evidence now:
Valiant Re-Introduces Zephyr In Harbinger #4
Alright Valiant boys and girls, take a look: the above image gives us our first look at the new incarnation of Faith Herbert within the Valiant universe.
Originally appearing in the original Harbinger #1, Faith Herbert was a different harbinger who had the power of flight. It looks like now she’s coming back, just like Ninjak, within the pages of the comic she originally appeared in.
Valiant (Re)visions: Harbinger #1 [Review]
We’re a week late with this one, but we didn’t want to pass up the opportunity to talk about Joshua Dysart and Khari Evans’ new “Harbinger” #1 for Valiant Comics. So join my Valiant (Re)visions co-host Chad Bowers and myself [David Harper] as we chat about the relaunch of my favorite Valiant series of yesteryear.
